THE WIZARD OF OZ DIRECTOR SOUGHT
VAMPS have chosen "The Wizard of Oz" for their November production and are now looking for a director (and production team). If you would like to direct this classic musical please put together a proposal and come along to the VAMPS Committee meeting on Monday 1 February at 8.00 pm at the Pig n Falcon in St Neots. Your proposal should include an outline budget. Please bear in mind that we still have very limited finances and costs need to be kept to a minium - most recent shows came in at around £9,000 including venue hire.

DIRECTOR NEEDED FOR FESTIVAL PLAY
The Players have chosen a fantastic play to enter for this year's drama festivals - the supernatural tale of "The Monkey's Paw" by Jonathan Holloway - but we desperately need a director! The play is adapted from the classic short story by WW Jacobs and tells the story of a working-class family who is granted three wishes, all of which come true, but in macabre and unexpected way. Applications are welcome from experienced directors and those who would like to try their hand at directing with a one-act. LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS PUBLICITY COMPETITION
The deadline for the "Little Shop of Horrors" publicity competition has been extended. The prize is four tickets to the show - all you have to do is come up with the best original idea for publicising "Little Shop of Horrors". So, if you have an idea - no matter how wacky - let Christine know by 1 February membership@thevamps.co.uk.

PANTO SUGGESTIONS WANTED
The Players will be choosing this year's panto at their next Committee meeting on 2 February. If there is a panto that you'd like to see the society produce please let Christine know membership@thevamps.co.uk

EVENING WITH THE VEES AND GROUP THERAPY
VAMPS is organising a social evening, open to all members of VAMPS and The Players and their families and friends, on 6 March at Priory Junior School, Longsands Rd, St Neots at 7.00 pm until midnight. Entertainment will be provided by two local bands - The Vees (featuring our very own Wolfie on vocals) and Group Therapy (featuring Wurz on drums, Simon Ockenden on lead vocals, Dave Montgomery-Law on bass, and Sarah Rees on keyboard). Tickets are £5 in advance from Rae Hammerbacker or on the door.
